SLR system has three stages, pre-stabilization, waste separation and RDF production. The system can be applied to both active and closed landfill for developing area into residential, commercial and public site or reusing the area as a sustainable landfill site. SLR system separates all landfill wastes into three fractions(soil, non-combustible and combustible) then soil and non-combustible are re-use as filling material and covering soil at construction field. Remaining combustibles are sent to the next stage for producing RDF.

This stage is for minimizing pollution and dangerous factor which generated form waste excavation. Perforated pipes are put in landfill area then fresh air is injected through the pipes for removing stench and storing methane gas.

In this stage, the system separates excavated landfill wastes into soil, combustibles and non-combustible for recycling both soil and non-combustible as construction materials and combustible as RDF production.

The last stage, RDFs are produced by passing through shredding, sorting, purifying and drying process for waste to energy.

Jeonju City Expansion Development landfill reclamation project

This case shows landfill reclamation business in accordance with city expansion. Non-sanitary landfill was located on New town construction so landfill reclamation was required for construction. All landfill wastes are excavated and sorted into three fractions, soil, combustible and non-combustible. Soil and non-combustible are reused on site for construction materials(covering soil and filling up material) and combustibles are treated by building a sanitary landfill park on site.

In this case, a dome is installed for prevention of asbestos and stench scattering. High-efficiency soil sorting system is applied to separate slates including asbestos in order to minimize specified-waste treatment costs. By landfill reclamation, land cost of landfill area increases as same as neighbor so land utilization and value creation are maximized.

In this case, national biggest non-sanitary landfill area is reclaimed for re-use landfill site so all landfill wastes are excavated and sorted for minimizing amount of wastes and then installation leachate and landfill gas treatment facility in order to minimize pollutions from landfill wastes and obtain sustainable waste treatment.
